Due Time!!!

oh my goodness I just cannot really put into words my excitement for my family and our expansion! ha! I just love the thought of a big family and cannot believe how lucky we are and gosh I feel it! Soon we will be a "Party of Five!" of course things do make me nervous... it's due time! I'm 40 weeks... I do feel nervous... will I be able to love one more just as much as I love my two girls... of course I know the answer but again I wonder and know that there will be a shift that will happen in that birth euphoria! I get a little weepy at the thought of Cecilia becoming a big sister... even though she told me "she was BORN to be a big sister... FINALLY!!" hahaha! But then I think about all the new adventures we will have together all over again! I love kids and babies and I just cannot wait to show my girls in a time they will remember how precious this part of womanhood really is! So tomorrow is my due date... March 22nd... I have been feeling the feels and rocking them through... I've been working on visualizing birth... how I will breath through it... I'm just going to take it one wave at a time and find my center along the way... excited!

11th Birthday Sleepover Fun!!!

Ohhhhhh my goodness!!! This was such a FUN BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! Was pretty laid back too! Sleepovers can be SO FUN! There was lots of time to just be and take a breath and check in with our little girl and ask if she was having fun and tell her again and again, Happy Birthday!
I loved painting the girls nails and using the sugar scrubs we made! The homemade chocolate mousse parfaits were AMAZING! The girls all had a blast! We even had a little dance party! Morning time brought Swedish pancakes filled with fresh cream, nutella, and lots of berries! Yum! It just took me back to little girl times of giddy excitement and pinks and purples and happy memories I hope they always remember!

Does anyone else stand over their babies the night before they turn the next age and just watch them... as if something magical will happen... they will all of a sudden look older... like a birthday fairy may lift their window and fly in and sprinkle magic dust over them and make their feet bigger and their faces longer and their spirits wiser... don't blink at midnight or you may just miss that moment...
Every year I do this... and maybe it's the tears that make things a little blurry but I swear something does happen... my babies grow.

This year it wasn't nearly as hard as the last... ten was rough. Eleven just happened... and I rolled with it. Could be the ever present bump that is bursting in front of me with a new little bundle that I too will probably stand over and wait for the fairies to come... but whatever it was I was relieved to not turn into a snotty mess of a mom this year! I embraced this young lady that I love so much! I let eleven happen and smiled!

I am just so happy for this awesome girl! She really is something and I just love her passion and spirit and want to be near her always!
Happy 11th Birthday Honey! xoxoxo

A French Countryside Baby Shower... fit for a Prince!

ohhhh my goodness!!! I'm still feeling overwhelmed by all this prettiness!!!
My mom went over the top with my sweet baby shower!!! I am so thankful for all that she did! My whole family did as well! Lots that went in to this... but her vision... oh wow, SO SO PRETTY!!!!!!
All of these little details and the feel of her sweet home... I walked in to this dream and felt like a giant hug just wrapped me up like a big blanket!

Ok... let's talk about the food!!! Ooooh la la! So many sweet treats! The French theme was on fire and I was loving every little crumble! From the cheeses to the goat cheese pinwheels, to the breads! All of my favorite things! and those pastries! She worked on this for months! Planning the menu! Finding the recipes! and then the whole family worked together to make it all happen!!! When I walked into this I just had my jaw on the floor! I couldn't believe it!

my little sweeties and their cousin were the waitresses! My mom made their little French Toile aprons! They had a ball collecting the lady's gifts for them and showing them the way... serving the ladies their champagne... so cute!

Rediculously AMAAAAZING treats!!! ALL homemade of course! So much thought went into this!!! I so appreciate it!!! xo

a little hint hint of what the baby's name will be... NOT GOAT! :-)

I love these girls! I'm so glad they could be here to help celebrate! They felt so important as the big sisters!!! They cannot wait for baby to come!

and here's me and my mama... the woman behind all of this! Thank you SO SO SO MUCH for throwing me the prettiest party I have ever seen!!!
Love you BUNCHES!

and now we are pretty set for our sweetie to come! Thank you all SO MUCH for spoiling me with so much lovin' that my heart could just burst!!!
