I just love love love this special tradition that our family does each year… it really helps to tie Mattias’ Swedish roots at the holiday season! St. Lucia Day!!! It’s so beautiful! All the candles and the white long dresses oh it’s just perfect! Isabelle got to hold a REAL candle this year!!! -you know now that she’s 10! She was thrilled! It’s such a simple celebration… celebrating light in the dark winter…
We make Swedish saffron buns that are oh so yummy and drink glogg and each ginger thins! This year the girls got to wake their grandparents visiting from Sweden dressed like Lucia! It was so special and a morning I think we’ll all remember!
