Happy Earth Day!

we looooove our daughter’s preschool and so does she! It’s a sweet place, a little get-away of giggles and smiles and pure happiness! I look forward to school days! I love the drive … we pass the city and have the windows down and let the cool morning air breeze through our hair… we yell out the windows “good morning city!” “good morning marina!” “good morning trees!” It’s a ritual that I love so much… then we drive up to the sweet school and park by the rows of sunflowers which the children planted months ago. then I help Isabelle get her backpack on and she grabs her lunch box and away we go… As we walk to the front door all of her little friends are peeking out the front window waving, sucking their thumbs, clenching their lovies, and cheering as she enters! Good Morning Belle her teacher greets us! I sign her in and give her friends hugs and kiss my girl goodbye and off I go…

This special day was Earth Day! Lots of planting, learning of ways to help the Earth and learning such a nice lesson…. “We belong to the Earth… the Earth does not belong to us” My wish is that our girls love and care for our planet and do all they can to tread gently… we teach them so many things about living green and I really think they get it…..

the kids have a beautiful garden which one of New College’s students helps care for. It’s fantastic and the children learn about taking care of a garden and that food comes from the Earth…
