Happy 4th Birthday Isabelle!!!!

our little girl turned 4 last week! It always is so special when your child has a birthday… such excitement and happiness… remembering when she was born… all the years of fun and love! I love all of the traditions in having a birthday… many from when I was a child, many when from Pappa was a small boy… it’s what keeps us tied with such a beautiful string of family…

breakfast in bed… we always wake each other up with a song and a breakfast in bed on our birthday… followed by presents and lots of tickles!

we all came to Isabelle’s preschool to celebrate! both Grandparents came to share in the excitement as well! They do a Montessori Birthday Celebration… really sweet! They walk around the circle holding the globe, circling the sun (a lit candle), how many years they are… and then show photographs of each year…

It seems, of course, like the time flies each year to year… I always consciously try to take every moment in completely… it makes it all real and makes it last a lot longer. How I wish I could just hold my little baby in my arms every minute of the day… I know I have to let her go into this world, strong and free… A friend of mine said that Belle has such passion… “Loves with her Whole Heart!” it was something that meant a lot to me… I have really tried to teach her to love life, love nature, be happy, and if you love something … love it!!! don’t wait… hug it, squeeze it, be so tight that you cannot stand it! We snuggle every night and so often she tells me, “Mamma I love you soooooo much!” … she scrunches up and squeezes her fists, and then gives me a hug so tight and pure… and then I usually melt… and hold back tears… She loves to tell me she loves me more than…. bananas, raspberries, goldfish! On her birthday night she gave me a hug and placed her hands on my cheeks and looked deep in my eyes and said, “Mamma, thank you for a beautiful birthday… I’m lucky!” “no,” I told her… “I am!” Happy Birthday Lovie! xoxoxo
