good-bye tree…..

how we love our tree really is beautiful… our little girl actually wept as Pappa hauled it out on Saturday…
explaining to a 3 year old reasons for things really is fun…. I try to stay away from this is why, and that’s it… instead I try to be a little creative… sometime the truth hurts but it is how it is…. and the truth is, is that everything has it’s cycle and season…. some things don’t last forever… Christmas is one of those things that cannot last forever… if it did, we wouldn’t look forward to it

the little pine needles that we swept away felt like scraps of our holiday memories being swept away…. it was a lovely lovely Christmas and like everything the winds blow in and take us to a new exciting part of life…. winter…

winter is here and even in our tropical land that we know of as Florida… it still gets quite chilly down here. Such fresh arctic winds found us snuggly and close indoors… I really do love this. I love how we stay inside and keep close in our blankets and scarfs. Even though we have not had snow we still have had frost and ice and in our little tropical hearts we cannot help but wish for a little bit of that powdery pretty snow

playing and hiding under pillows and giggles have been filling our cozy warm home lately

and best of all has been through this chill in our bones and frost on our noses …… one of our orange trees decided it was time to surprise us with the most sweetest delicious oranges of the season!!! We squeezed and squeezed and Isabelle and Cecilia even got to have a try and we made a bunch of orange juice to sweeten our weekend a little bit more….. thank you trees…..

I wonder what tomorrow will bring??…..
